Avatar (2009), When his brother is wiped out in combat, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully resolves to deal his position in a delegation on the further world of Pandora. There he assures of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge’s purposes of riding off the native humanoid “Na’vi” in order to mine for the preferred stuff scattered throughout their rich timberland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake collects intel for the collaborating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously trying to penetrate the Na’vi people with the use of an “avatar” identity. While Jake starts to stick with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves ahead with his ruthless extermination tactics, pushing the soldier to deal a stand – and fight back in an epic combat for the fate of Pandora.
