The Sorcerer’s Apprentice [2010]
Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a sorcerer master ,in modern-day Manhattan challenging to hold the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he enrols Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a apparently average guy who shows hidden potential, as his unwilling protégé. The sorcerer grants his unwilling confederate a crash course in the art and science of illusion, and together, these outside mates work to stop the pushes of darkness. It’ll take all the bravery Dave can muster to hold up his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
