Phillip Filmore is a naive, 15-year-old, preoccupied with sex, who develops a crush on Nicole Mallow, the new 30-something, French housekeeper and sitter to look after him when Phillip’s father is out of town for the summer on a “business” trip. But Mr. Filmore’s unscrupulous chauffeur, Lester Lewis, takes advantage of Phillip’s crush on Nicole to hire her to seduce the youth, then draws her into a plot to fake her own death in a blackmail scheme aimed to drain Phillip’s trust fund.

Hey movie buffs Joshua Ovenshire here filling in for Tatiana Carrier with Clevver movies. Today I want to take a closer look at who I think is going to win the box office next summer. Easily the two most anticipated movies next year are The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises. Both will be highly successful, but who is going to bring in the most money during that opening weekend. Now by no means is this a Marvel vs DC kinda thing. I don't believe in that. Both are great franchises, there will never be any reason to pick sides, I just want to look at some of the facts. So let's size up these two behemoths. Two better compare how they'll do in the future, let's see how they did in the past first. Starting with 2008's The Dark Knight, this movie dominated the box office that year. Opening weekend it made $158.4 million dollars outing Spider-man three for the highest grossing weekend release. It actually held this record all the way up to this year when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 2 beat it out with $169 million. Well played muggles… But Batman had A LOT going for it. It was the last big release during it's summer and no big movies to compete with it the same weekend. The fourth installment is still pacing slightly behind The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which opened over Thanksgiving in 2009. At the same point in its run New Moon had earned $255.4 million domestically. . Coming in at number 2 was the muppets with $11.2 million with a solid domestic cume of $56.1 million! Overseas, the pic grossed $1.8 million from three markets for an early international total of $4 million and world cume of $60.1 million. . Hugo came in third with 7.6 million for a cume of 25.2 million.
